Testimony

We Receive Testimonies Every Year About How Our Short Term Mission Trips influence
People Who Attended. Below Is Just One Example The DCI Office Received:

Jeff’s testimony:
My Mission Trip to Belize
What is a mission? Mr. Webster (Dictionary) says, “It’s a task to be carried out to obtain a result.” The task and work carried out was to use my hands and skills, which God has gifted me with. The result was to better God’s Kingdom. I’ve been saved now for two years. This is something I wanted to do and it was an eye opener on what we (Christians) need to be doing…getting out of our comfort zones. As we wait for Jesus to come back for us, we can’t just sit and do nothing. We will have to give an account for our time on earth. James 2:26 says that Faith with out works is dead. It was amazing to see and hear the people that God had chosen for this work mission. Chuck, who became my friend from Faith Outreach Center, said to me, “I don’t know what I can do here; I’m a postal worker but God gave me these hands, so I came by faith to do something.” God picked a mailman, a truck driver, a schoolteacher, a loan consultant and Robin (a miracle) who was hit by a drunk driver and whom doctors said would not walk. And here she is swinging a three-foot machete, doing yard clean up! This mission trip to Belize encouraged me and gave me confirmation that we can do all things through Christ Jesus…
God bless the Dream Center in Belize!
Your brother in Christ,
Jeff Butler

General Information About the DCI Missionary Program

DCI houses many of the USA short term mission organizations that bring teams to Belize & Southern Mexico. You’ll find them on web search engines that are offering mission trips. It’s simple… by staying with us you eliminate the middle man and get the same high quality trip at a better price.
Dream Center International is a mission organization that mobilizes teams of Christians throughout the year, bringing aid to people who need it the most. Businesses, churches, schools and many individuals partner with DCI to go into poor areas of Central America and the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico.
DCI Is a Well-Rounded Program: Each day’s schedule focuses on a person’s spiritual, mental, and physical growth. The daily schedule of activities include: Praise & Worship, Prayer, Classroom Instruction and Outreach.
Addressing Social Issues: Programs are designed to capitalize on the gifts and callings of a person and to maximize their ministry potential to impact people with the love of Jesus. You will experience hands-on training on how to restore communities through programs such as: block parties, mentoring programs and outreach projects.
Making Friendships that will Last a Lifetime:

Breaking Through the Four Walls of the Church

I believe two of the greatest enemies of the community of Christ today are apathy and complacency
. If you have been a Christian leader for any length of time you will probably agree with me. Apathy does not care whether anyone finds salvation through Christ Jesus and is Saved or not. This commanding attitude causes the body of Christ not to have any remorse for the less fortunate people of the world. Complacency says that… “We are just fine the way we are and we love our church, but reaching outside our church walls isn’t our mission. Reaching the world is a noble idea, but it’s not our call.”

Reaching out of our church’s four walls should BE our primary mission! We can’t simply say we are now believers and forget the Great Commission. Jesus said in Matthew, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

The key Word is GO. Get out there! Our mission at the DCI is to mobilize the Christian community. We are a ministry (a tool) where organizations, businesses and churches can come together in order to reach people with the message of Salvation found in the message of Jesus. Many organizations have recently been using Francis Chan’s book, CRAZY LOVE, to help pull God’s people from the grips of apathy and complacency. They have found that the DCI mission trips can be used as a vehicle to mobilize groups to a central purpose and a way to focus on others rather than themselves. Maybe it’s time to get your people involved with the DCI mission trip program.
