Information on youth mission trips?

I was invited to go on a mission trip to Mexico with my uncle, but in the end it didn’t work out. My friends and I would all love to go on one together but aren’t involved with a specific church youth group or church. We would like to go during spring break (March 13-21) and all together, not split up. Though we don’t mind going with others we don’t know as long as we aren’t split up. Co-ed too, if possible. We would like to go longer than the shorter 3 day trips. Needs to be relatively affordable pleeeeease….Don’t care where, (can even be somewhere in the U.S. or Mexico, just not Dallas) just want to go experience life elsewhere and help in someway. Have any information on trips as described or such? We’d much appreciate it(:Thank you(:

P.S. We are all in high school

Volunteer trips to third world countries for teenagers?

- Involving the medical field or involving volunteering in a hospital.
- Not a christian mission trip.
- Something that’s possible to save up for within a year. Less than 3,500(All expenses including airfare) preferred.
- Not in the Americas, but Asia, Africa, or Oceania.
- For teenagers at least 15

(:

Only a group like a Christian mission is likely to have the patience to deal with teenagers in a medical setting. The kids won’t have much training or really be very useful so the chief purpose of their going would be educational. Some Christian groups see that as worth while, but the Red Cross, for example, doesn’t have time/money for those who aren’t trained and ready to work as soon as the plane lands.

Mission trips and helping this world?

Alright, if you are educated or have beliefs about mission trips and helping people within charities this question is for you.
What part of donation do you think actually helps people versus going to a business and direct to the owners of these charities.

I think going into the actual missions field helps more than directing these chariities. One, it makes those we are helping very happy to see that there are people willing to help them rebuild their homes and also give them the gospel of Christ.

Any mission trips??????

I am looking for a mission trip for youth, know of any going on this summer?

You can always google "mission trips summer 2009" but it may be best for you to ask your church, or one of the local churches, if they’re organizing anything, or if they know of any safe organizations.

Going on a Mexico mission trip?

I’m planning on going to a mission trip to Mexico with my church in spring break. We will be in a village next to Mexicali. Although, I am very concerned about the violence. If anyone has recently been to Mexico please let me what precautions I should take if any. Thank you

Why do young American Christians go on mission trips to Mexico, which is actually more Christian than the US?

According to the CIA Factbook, the US is 78% Christian. Mexico is 82.8% Christian.

Because the places where Christians do their mission work is not based on what religion is there, but on the poverty level there.

What do you think about mission trips?

I go to Haiti with my church. Well, actually last year was the first time, but I am definetely going back next summer and possibly this febuary. But i am not sure if I want to go for selfish reasons or if God is telling me to go. If you have any advice on this, please tell me. OR if you want to talk about a mission trip you have gone on… I LOVE listening to stories about mission trips (or reading them, so this is good too). THANKS!!

Well, if you feel God wants you to go, then go. I myself haven’t gone on any missions trips, but there are many other ways to serve the Lord. I do groundskeeping and other various jobs at my church. Just do whatever you feel is right, and if you enjoy going on missions trips then go for it!

What’s a good place to sign up for a youth mission trip?

I want to do a mission trip, but I need to sign up as an individual and most of the sites I’ve been on require it to be a youth group. PLEASE HELP!

Try the sites I’ve listed below. Most of them send out teams, but they will add you to a team.
You might try emailing the web sites you have looked at and ask if they have any groups that need additional people.
You could also try calling local churches and see if any of them have a group going on a mission trip that you could join. My daughter went on two mission trips with our church group but they had people in the groups who were not members of our church.

Sooo…if you had the chance to go on a year long mission trip would you?

This is how it works…starting in September you go to a country for 3 months to do mission work you come home for Thanksgiving break, then you head out again to a different country until you come home for Christmas break. After Christmas you head out again to another country and come home for spring break then go out once again to yet another country until summer break…..

The trip is for people between the ages of 18 and 28, would you go?

How has a Christian mission trip impacted your life?

Please share your story.

It made me more sure of my self in sharing faith with others in my town, being more bold in sharing in town where no one knows you and actually seeing that is not about your skills or your efforts it is all in power of prayer and then you actually see that God can work through little me ( it was so hard for me to imagine that I would go out to people and share, but I can do anything through God that gives me strength! )
