My 15 year old granddaughter is very interested in going on a mission trip next summer, spring break, or Christmas break. Unfortunately her church is very small and they don’t do things like that at all. If you know of any website or anything that gets a group of teens together to do mission work either in other states or even countries, please let me know. I think its a great idea but like I said her church nor mine has the resources. Thanks
Maybe I am misinterpreting your answer, but if you are implying that she is going on a mission to party, you could not be more wrong. Unlike most girls her age she is keen on helping her community/world to become a better place. Not all girls want to party and get themselves so drunk they cant remember on spring break.
You can check TeenMania.org. One place I know of is the Dream Center in Los Angeles. There are still many ministries that are reaching out to the destruction of New Orleans. You may be able to hook up with one of them.
I hope this helps you out. Be blessed and tell your daughter to never lose her heart to reach people with the love of Christ!

very cool, good luck to her. many of these missions do great work. some though, tend to be a little pushy with converting people. make sure she doesn’t do that. god can talk to anyone he wants, and doesn’t need his teachings pushed on anyone. again, good luck to her, it’s a noble thing to do

Check out the Acquire The Fire on-line and Samaritan’s Purse. They both have state & national teen mission services, & trips.
My son, when he was 15, went on a month’s mission trip to the mountain people of Costa Rica. The trip changed him forever and it definitely made him more thankful and appreciative of all the wonderful blessings, advantages, and freedoms that we American’s tend to take for granted.
God bless!

It’s my opinion that Missionaries are the worst human scum on the planet, and it’s my hope that your daughter reconsiders what she’s planning on doing.
Missionaries go to other countries and take advantage of the hardships of others in an attempt to convert them to their religion. They go to a place where the people already have their own culture and religions, and they attempt to replace that culture with their own. How arrogant and opportunistic can you get? It’s always sad when children express interest in these kinds of activities.
It’s funny how you say that they want to make the world a better place. What you really mean is that they want to make the world the way they think it should be according to their religious beliefs. Again, the arrogance is astounding.
