Well, it sounds like you’re too young to go to the casinos. Maybe you can get into the shows. Or you can visit some of the old estates if they survived the hurricane. You can go to a public beach. Many years ago, when I lived in the area, there was a boat that went out to an island in the gulf. They had some good beaches there.
If you’re not from New Orleans, and haven’t been there, a day trip would be fun. It’s about 65 miles away.
