I’m a young catholic medical student from Hungary. I’d like to take part in a catholic mission trip as a doctor, particularly to a region of West-Africa (Nigeria, Cameroon). Does anyone know of any international catholic mission groups? Please only serious answers. Thanks.
I agree with the first answerer, your diocese is the best place to ask questions.
Have you tried either Mercy Ships or Doctors without Borders as well? They are two good organizations, but are not directly affiliated with the Catholic church.

I am Catholic and from Kenya, I live in the maasai Land and I worked with maasai from the interior parts, where there is no water and the area is very dry(Arid). from Experience I have seen children die from malnutrition and hunger. most of the people there have infested wound for lack of proper medication. But the suprising thing is that so many medical students/doctors come to Kenya but very few get to this areas. Yes! this is a hardship area but isn’t that the essence of mission work?
So if you are still interested am ready to assist you come to Kenya. It is my wish and prayer that a kind person would one day reach this needy people for we all need to work together for the improvement of the human race.
I have invited other missionaries to Kenya and the moment they realised that it is a hardship area they declined. Later one was honest enough to reveal to me that they also wanted to have a holiday in Kenya but had to use the excuse of mission.
