I’m looking to go on a mission trip to tell the Muslim world how great Jesus is. Since the security level would be high, are we allowed or is there a dedicated security personel on hand?
Muslims already know how great Jesus is, they just don’t worship him. You can go to Africa and preach to Muslims in Egypt, it would be safer.

I am curious about details of short term, free or low cost mission trips and I was wondering if anyone had info or experience with going on a short term mission trip to anywhere that needed help. I am trying to find a short term mission trip that I can afford to go on. Anyone have any feedback for me? Thanks!

Are there any organizations that help to aid missionaries/people going on mission trips financially?

Are there any organizations where you can apply for a grant or sponsorship that is dedicated to helping people on mission trips with their costs? If there are such organizations, what are they and what is required to apply for aid?
Yes. But they are normally associated with a particular denomination or a subgroup within a denomination (like a diocese). Contact your pastor or priest or check out the website of whatever denomination you belong to (probably under missions).
I was looking for some information on companies/organizations that offer trips like this to university students during the summer. Length of stay doesn’t matter. I would prefer to travel to Africa.
Preferably answers from people who have traveled with the company or know someone who has. Thank You!
I’ve gone with Adventures In Missions on a few trips and loved it. Great organization if you’re looking for a Christian group.
Any mission trips for teens?
Apr 27
Any mission trips for teens? I am more interested in working in orphanages and with children that anything else. Please give me the website, thanks!
The best way for a teen to go is with your church’s youth group. You can choose to travel to another country, or go somewhere in US. I have been on trips both in US and in other countries as a youth leader. If your church youth group doesn’t do mission trips, find a church in your area that does and see if you can go with them. For trips that are taking place this summer, you should already have made plans, or need to shortly.

If you are going to another country you do need a passport and must take vaccinations. Also most of the trips are pretty costly.
Where would a good place be for a mission trip? Describe the experiances I would have there. I truly want to help. What would I have to do in preperation for a trip like this? How would anyone benefit? What would I do there? Just wondering. Gathering crucial information. Thanks.

It has a tremendous amount of information about mission trips. Good for you – I think that is great and I hope you are able to do it. My wife and I went on a 2 week mission trip 2 years ago to West Virginia – the area in the Appalachians where they were flooded and many homes were lost in the poorer areas. Seems like a lot of times in natural disasters that it is the poor who seem to get hit the worst.
Anyway, we worked on rebuilding homes and it was absolutely one of the best experiences of my life!! The people I met – both the people we worked with and the people we worked to help were fantastic. The people we were helping were so grateful and they worked right along side of us. We made several friends for life.
Good luck and I hope you can find a mission that you are able to participate in – you will be richer for the experience!!!
I want to do some community service, but I would love to go on mission trips like going to remote villages and helping people in poverty. Do you know of any foundations that host mission trips?
Look here: http://www.ntm.org
I would go every 4 weeks and it’s 50 dollars a trip. This is something i really want to do but i can’t affored =[[[
omg. a mission trip is when you go out to spread the word of God and help others and learn what it’s like to be in other peoples shoes
Most legitimate and well-run mission organizations will provide you with ways to raise the funds needed for mission trips. Be aware, as well, that you may well have other costs. For example, is the cost of meals included? Do you have a passport? Do you need medical insurance and/or vaccinations? I have posted links below to several mission trip organizers who have worked in Mexico. This may give you more food for thought.
