Is Israel safe for those going on short term mission trips?

I have been reading of active and violent reactions to missionaries and Messianic Jews in Israel. I know that fear should not enter into this decision (I do believe in divine protection!), but my friend now wants to go on a tour of the Holy Land instead. Can anyone help me comfort her fears so that we can do something positive for HIM while we walk in His footsteps over there?

Yes, there is a problem with tolerance by Orthodox Jews to Christian Missionaries. Another answer supplied a link, I will supply more. If I could offer advice it would be to visit the Holy Land and appreciate all it has to offer, but leave the Bible tracts at home. Please view these:

Chances of getting into brown university?

I’m only a freshman, but i have a 3.76 GPA and go to one of the best public schools in the us, which is known for its excellence, but even though its only the end of the first six weeks i’m still worried about it, but i plan to try harder and get higher grades.
I’m involved with JDRF, and i plan to go on mission trips spring break and summer to Africa
i play tennis, and i am a photographer, i already have a portfolio.
I’m in AP art, world geography, and english.
I really want to take in the dual program at RISD and Brown, but will my first six weeks grade jeoprodize it? i had all A’s except a 87 in biology and 88 in alegrbra,
in addition i do have a family member who has a connection there who i have to talk about it to, and they’ve mentioned connections to there and several other colleges.

My best advice is this: stop worrying so much; you’re only a freshman. Just do the best you can and take your time to enjoy life a little. If you really want to go to Brown, just keep your grades at par with what you have as of now, and grab a SAT prep book to study a little over this coming summer. Continue to take AP classes, and passionately pursue your interests, gaining leadership in these interests (for example, captain of varsity tennis team for a couple years or getting your portfolio published). Finally, get to know your teachers; you’ll need good letters of recommendation once you start applying, and they won’t have anything good to write about you if they don’t know you. But like I noted, just relax. Your interests and college choices will probably change by the time you are applying, so stay flexible.

Are there any free Christian mission trips for college students available?

I was looking at adventures . org but you have to pay for all of those and I am a really broke college student looking to do my part.
My family and I have just moved and still looking for a church but in the meanwhile I would really like to go on a mission trip. Somewhere in the U.S.?
Can someone tell me some sites to look at? Also is there any age limitations?

-Thank you for any help! :-)

depending on the organization you go with age is not so much a limiting factor as denomination is. Almost every denomination out there has there own organization for doing missions and most will have something to incorporate different age groups. The only thing you will find for free in the short term will be local, as in your own city. Local is always a good place to start anyway. But if you really feel called to go somewhere outside the city limits your going to have to come up with some money. However, it doesn’t necessarily have to be your money. Usually people in the churches will donate money to people who are doing legitimate missions work. I myself went to Peru for a mission trip and didn’t spend a dime of my own money. If your really called to do, God will open doors for you.

Are there any mission trips to Egypt in 2012?

Me and my fiance, at the time of the trip wife, are wanting to go on a mission trip to Egypt for about a month or two. Is there anyone who has any idea where we could find information on a trip that would accommodate us? We will even go on a trip that’s one to two weeks if that’s all we can get.

No there aren’t ,..

I’m going to India, on a mission trip with my youth group, i need $3000, soon…How should raise the money?

I’m 15 years old, I’ve got a heart for the lost and I’ve been given the opportunity to go on 3 mission trips before, they were life changing…I’m not sure how to raise the money to go on this mission trip…I have no doubt the God is going to intervene and provide for me the money needed to go, but i’d love help on how to raise the money!!! (prayer would be pretty awesome as well…aha)

3000$ will do so much help compare to a 15 year old passing some cans of food around just saying…

Does anyone think that they can help me in my situation, and feel led by God?

Hi everyone! I am a 21 year old college student attending NC State. More than that I am a God fearing young man and I am saved and holy spirit filled. I am writing on here because I am seeking other believers in Christ for their help through prayer.

I want to start out by saying that I believe God can do awesome and miraculous things! I am a living testimony to what God can do. God has been a provider for me and a healer! So I do not doubt what God is capable of. I am looking for people who believe the same.

I am facing not being a student this semester due to a bill on my student account from last year. I was supposed to go on a ASB (alternative service break) missions trip last spring. However, I was not able to go and left to pay the remainder of my trip since they paid in advance. I am needing prayer because I feel burdened by this and I cannot continue through school this semester due to this. My mother is a single mother of 4 and we are not that wealthy. I have had a few sponsors to come to me and donate towards my trip. However, I am still needing a miracle to have it cleared off my account so that I can attend my classes since Im a senior.

I was seeking prayer through fellow believers on here for the situation. If you feel led to help me out in anyway feel free to email me back at (bigaus_bruiser@yahoo.com) Thanks in advance for all of your prayers!

God doesn’t exist.

Are there any mission trips abroad over Winter Break for teens?

I really want to find a mission trip for my friend and I overseas this winter break, do you know any good programs?

My suggestion would be to ask your school counselor to help research any possible mission trips.
Also go to most any of the larger churches-and express such interest. Some churches are far more involved than others as far as missions, so there is a good chance you may have to try a few.
Research info or ask past students/teens that have experience going on missions. – Teens must go as a group with chaparones so you need to look into all the details.
> your local library might be able to help you get info on missions, as far as magazine articles- Yes, I suggest going to a library over the internet, or both, but not just internet

Make a sincere covenant with the Father that you will always obey all of Jesus’ sayings ( Greek text ) no matter what ; And then you shall receive all of the Desires of your Heart .

Have you ever gone on a Christian missions trip — where and what did you do?

Thanks for info!

No, I prefer not to teach people nonsense.

What’s the best way to fundraise?

I’m going with my church on a mission trip to Belize over spring break this year. It’s $1200 to go and more for a passport and shots so I need to do quite a bit of fundraising. I know a bottle drive and candy bar sales work but do you think a buisness would donate money? Who would I need to talk to and how would I ask? I’m afraid they’ll think I’m a joke since i’m 15. What would you do? any other good fundraising ideas? btw I couldn’t host a whole event or do anything that requires a lot of money to start.

The most tried and true method of fundraising is to sell something. Look for a fundraising program that requires no upfront cost to you. Find one where you just take orders and the payment (at retail price) for a product, you send in the order and the money for the products at a reduced wholesale price and keep the difference between the price you pay for the products and your selling price for the products as your profit for your fundraiser. Then the products are shipped to you and you get them to the people who ordered them from you. With some fundraisers the products can also be ordered and sent directly to the buyers, especially if you have friends and relatives who would like to help support you by buying something who don’t live near you.

There are lots of different types of fundraising products, but it is important to find quality products at a competive price to items with a similar quality that people will actually enjoy using or giving as gifts. Although food items are often used in fundraisers, some people have dietary restrictions and can’t eat candy or cookies. It can also be tricky finding a program that you can be used for individuals and not just by large groups and non-profit organizations. Here is a link with an example of an easy fundraising program that can be used by individuals: http://www.bellamiacandle.com/Candle_Fundraiser.html

With the amount of money you need to raise, you may need to do several fundraisers – perhaps one a month and also do other things for friends, family and neighbors like babysitting, dog walking, yard work, etc.

Good luck!
